Home and School
We are a group of parents and teachers who get together once a month in the school staffroom (times and dates are put in the school newsletter). As a group, our role is to support the teachers and raise funds for school resources and activities that will benefit our children. We plan and coordinate fundraising events such as the bi-annual school gala, international lunch, discos, quiz nights and other fun social activities. In the last year we were able to contribute towards a variety of different things. These ranged from sports uniforms and new books to new furniture for Te Whare Mātau, our library. See full list below.
Any parent can join the committee at any stage of their child’s schooling. It’s a great way to meet others, gain a better understanding of what is happening in the school and put forward any ideas or thoughts that you have.
Friends of the Committee
We appreciate any help (however big or small) from school families when it comes to organising and running our fundraising events. If you are unable to attend the monthly meetings but would like to be involved in some way please join our ‘friends of the committee’ contact list. Simply email your name, and contact details to Rosie Henderson (another Mum) on email@example.com. We are now on Facebook! Search for Central Home and School Committee Friends and ask to join the group or use the link below. It's a quick and easy way of finding out what we are working on and planning.
Next meeting: Wednesday 6 March 7:30pm in the staffroom.
